Hi there! I'm Bekah, the CEO of Lunadesk and a seasoned yoga and mindfulness teacher. I created Lunadesk because my neurodivergent being required movement throughout the day to feel grounded and whole. After experimenting with ditching my chair and desk for the floor, I discovered the mental and physical benefits of various postures throughout the workday. Drawing on my mindfulness practice, yoga training, and somatics education, I developed Lunadesk—an ergonomic laptop desk designed for movement. Our bodies thrive on movement, and embracing fluidity in posture and location can revitalize the mind, spark creativity, and soothe the nervous system. 

All my life I’ve been a fierce advocate for people and the planet, and I am committed to building a business without doing any harm to earth or its beings. That’s why we make the Lunadesk in small batches in Maine from responsibly sourced materials and without as little single-use plastic as possible. 

Before Lunadesk, I traveled the world as a cultural anthropologist, studying various ways of being. Now, I focus on revolutionizing how we feel when we’re working by offering a product that eliminates the need to compromise wellness. When I’m not changing work culture, you’ll find me strength-training, practicing yoga, reading, or enjoying the outdoors by foot, bike, or boat.
